The Kingdom of Spain is a country in the southwest of Europe. It shares the Iberian Peninsula with Portugal and Gibraltar. France and the tiny country of Andorra are on its northeast side, where the Pyrenee mountains are. The Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea, the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean, and the cities of Ceuta and Melilla in the north of Africa are also all part of Spain.
The people of Spain are called Spanish or Spaniards. Most people there speak Spanish, but there are other languages in different parts of the country. They are Catalan, Basque, and Galician. The religion of most of the people in Spain is Roman Catholic.

The Republic of Bulgaria (Bulgarian: Република България), or Bulgaria (Bulgarian: България), is a country in the southeast of Europe. It borders the Black Sea to the east, Greece and Turkey to the south, Serbia and Montenegro and the Republic of Macedonia to the west, and Romania to the north along the river Danube.

Liverpool is a city and metropolitan borough in North West England. The city is governed by Liverpool City Council, one of five councils within the Metropolitan county of Merseyside. The population of the borough in 2002 was 441,477, and that of the Merseyside conurbation was 1,362,026. Whilst it has lost most of its manufacturing base, Liverpool is still well-known as a sea port. In sporting terms, it is home to the internationally-known football clubs Liverpool F.C. and Everton F.C.. In the year 2008, Liverpool will hold the European Capital of Culture title. The Canary Islands are an archipelago of the Kingdom of Spain consisting of seven islands of volcanic origin in the Atlantic Ocean. They are located off the northwestern coast of Africa (Morocco and the Western Sahara). They form an autonomous community of Spain. The name derives probably from a north African tribe (the Canarii) or possibly the Latin term Insularia Canaria meaning Island of the Dogs, a name applied originally only to the island of Gran Canaria. It is thought that the dense population of an endemic breed of large and fierce dogs was the characteristic that most struck the few ancient Romans who established contact with the islands by the sea.
